Logan Security & Investigation Services (LSIS) is owned and operated by Paul W. Logan. Logan is Board Certified through ASIS, International as a Physical Security Professional and a Professional Certified Investigator. He is a Certified Forensic Interviewer, Certified CPTED Practitioner, and a former Colorado Licensed Private Investigator*. Mr. Logan holds a Master of Science in the Administration of Justice and Security and a Professional Bachelor of Architecture degree. Logan is a Licensed Architect in numerous states and is NCARB Certified. Combining his education, training, and experience in criminology, security, investigations, and architecture provides for a unique knowledge base in environmental criminology and a specialized approach in establishing creative solutions to complex and unique security related matters.
Logan’s criminology and security related studies have primarily focused on the Survey of Justice and Security, Organizational Administration, Management of Institutional Risk, Ethics in Justice and Security, Criminological Theory, Legal Issues in Justice and Security, Critical Incident Management, Cyber Crime and Information Systems Security, Criminology and Public Policy, Physical and Personal Protection, Forensic Science and Psychological Profiling, and Program Development and Evaluation. Logan has received specialized education and training in areas relating to active shooters and active shooter scenarios, building protection against terrorist and criminal attacks, recognition of and remediation requirements for methamphetamine laboratories, the prevention of school violence, the protection of assets, and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). Logan has also assisted in performing various penetration exercises of existing facilities.
In order to maintain his various licenses and certifications, and to keep up on evolving industry standards, Logan routinely completes extensive continuing education and training each year in areas relating to criminology, security, forensics, architecture, and construction, just to mention a few. Logan has over thirty years of experience in the design, architecture, and construction industry, providing for a solid and unique foundation for assessing the built-environment and how it is used in regard to security related matters. Logan has been responsible for the planning, programming, design, and development for a myriad of project types including educational, governmental, commercial, institutional, manufacturing technologies, health and medical, information technology, historic preservation, and residential facilities. His experience has included traditional architectural design services, project and construction management, building code and accessibility analysis, owner representation, risk management, forensic investigations, site surveys, security surveys, feasibility studies, cost estimating, alternative dispute resolution, litigation support and expert witness services. Logan has owned and operated a forensic architectural consulting firm known as The Architectural Alliance Group, LLC since 1997.
In 2006, Logan formed his security and investigation firm specializing in environmental criminology and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) with a unique focus on active shooter scenarios. Logan has performed extensive assessments on various facility types including educational, governmental, commercial, and residential.
Logan is routinely retained as a subject matter expert to provide litigation support and expert witness services.
